RM-027 Epidemiology, treatment and outcome of pancreatic cancer in Tunisia

Abstract

Introduction: Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death worldwide. Few data are available on its epidemiology and outcome in Tunisia. This study reports epidemiological, clinical features and therapeutic results of pancreatic cancer patients treated in a medical oncology department in Tunis. Methods: We retrospectively studied 46 patients, in a 3-year-period from 2012 to 2015. Data were collected from the department dataset, and included patients' characteristics, radiologic and biologic findings, histology, treatment modalities and outcome. Statistical uni and multivariate analysis of survival were performed by Kaplan-Meier and Cox model.
