Risk of fracture in celiac disease: Gender, dietary compliance, or both?

Abstract: CD patients have higher prevalence of fractures in the peripheral skeleton before diagnosis. This is associated with male sex and classic clinical presentation. The fracture risk was reduced after the treatment.
