“…The LOD is comparable to previous results reported by our research group using pSi membrane and Si micropore array‐based electrochemical immunosensors (6 pfu mL −1 and 0.9 pfu mL −1 , respectively), but increasing the robustness and stability of the former and greatly simplifying and reducing the fabrication cost of the latter . Results can be further improved by harnessing the oriented immobilization of the antibodies used as bioreceptors as shown by our previous work on electrochemical sensing of MS2 (LOD < 2.2 pfu mL −1 using various functionalization strategies) . Successful impedimetric detection of MS2 bacteriophage highlights the potential of pSi‐based electrochemical sensor platforms as dual capture and sensing devices.…”

“…Pressure decay or diffusive air flow tests are typically carried out at pressures below the bubblepoint pressure of a non-defective membrane [23]. The upstream side of a wetted intact membrane is pressurized with air or other gases to a specific pressure and the pressure source should be isolated.…”

“…Monitoring and control of pathogens in water treatment processes are a daunting challenge for the water industry and governmental regulators (Brehant et al, 2010;Guo et al, 2010;Kumar et al, 2007;Lozier, 2003;Mi et al, 2004;Phattaranawik et al, 2008). Of the different pathogens, waterborne viruses are especially challenging because of their small size, high mobility, and resistance to chlorination (Grabow, 2001;Pontius et al, 2009;Theng-Theng Fong, 2005).…”
