Risk Factors on the Adverse Events of Sedation for Diagnostic Tests in Pediatric: A Retrospective Case–Control Analysis

Abstract

Background: This report intended to identify the peri-sedation risk factors associated with the adverse events of sedation for diagnostic tests in pediatric. Methods: This retrospective case study was approved by the local ethics committee and informed consent was waived. To investigate the risk factors for adverse events, we reviewed the medical records of 1182 pediatric patients receiving sedation from July 2016 to Oct 2021.
