Risk Factors for Phlebitis in Patients with Peripheral Intravenous Catheters

Abstract: Introduction: The study investigated the risk factors of phlebitis associated with infusion by peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC). Methodology: Hospitalized adults (n = 506) were placed with PIVCs by trained nurses.
