“…Physical sicknesses and hyperglycemia may be due to poor self-care of the respondents and if not checked makes living with T2DM difficult. This study can be compared with the study in Thailand by Poosakew that aimed to determine the potential risk factors for hospitalization due to hypoglycemia among patients with diabetes 24. Poosakew’s conclusion can be related to the findings in this study by suggesting that the physical sicknesses presented may be due to poor self-care which can be intensified by poor knowledge of the respondents on their condition 24.…”

Physical sicknesses and hyperglycemia are predictors of diabetic hospital visits and admissions24 which some of our participants also narrated experiencing from time to time which makes these results consistent with the literature.…”
