Das Hypopharynxkarzinom kommt mit einer Häufigkeit von bis zu 1,5% aller malignen Kopf-Hals-Tumoren zwar relativ selten vor, ist aber oftmals mit einer schlechten Prognose verbunden. Zhang und Li haben vor diesem Hintergrund nun Risikofaktoren für Lymphknotenmetastasen (LNM) genauer untersucht und ein Prognosemodell zur Vorhersage der individuellen Überlebenschance erstellt.
