During the last decade, researchers and practitioners became more interested in the domain of vulnerability analysis. It is considered as a key element in defining and managing supply chain risks. The great complexity of a global supply chain and of its environment, coupled with managerial trends, makes such a chain more vulnerable to disruptive events. A clear understanding of the possible consequences generated of this combination is a fundamental step to build an effective risk management plan and strategies. However, more studies are needed in order to develop the understanding of supply chain vulnerability. This article provides an explorative framework in order to analyze and quantify vulnerability within supply chains. Based on the existent literature, this article explores the factors that affect the level of Supply Chain Vulnerability (SCV). Four key components of SCV are identified (i.e. Exposure, Sensitivity, Susceptibility and Preparedness level). Based on these four categories of SCV, a conceptual model is developed. Such a model enables the definition of clear metrics and can further be used by researchers and practitioners to build consistent quantification methodologies.

In order to effectively manage the supply chain, it is important to effectively manage the inventory within it. The application of quantitative forecasting methods contributes to the accuracy and validity of forecasting and defining stock flows. The subject of this paper is to review the use of quantitative methods of inventory forecasting, namely exponential smoothing, adaptive filtering, the method of moving averages and regression analysis. The aim of the paper is to show inventory forecasting using the mentioned quantitative methods on the example of the company "Leoni Wiring System Prokuplje". The results of the research indicate that applied quantitative methods of forecasting in the supply chain provide reliable and accurate forecasts on the basis of which material orders can be defined in order to ensure the smooth functioning of production, on the example of the company "Leoni Wiring System Prokuplje".

According to the impact, infectious diseases are a critical risk for 2020 and the following years in the Global Risk Report. The realization of the Covid-19 virus set the pandemic as a crucial global risk for humans, the economy, and society. The main idea of this paper is to give insight into the global socio-economic consequences of the actual Covid-19 pandemic, with a specific view of the business of insurance and reinsurance companies, who are responding to the widening of the COVID-19 pandemic on multiple fronts—as claims payers, employers, and investment managers. Considering that both individuals and businesses face high costs and losses regarding disruption of travel, business interruption, and supply chains, many expect insurers to reimburse some of these costs and losses. Insurance companies are also significant investors in financial markets and will face losses due to equity and fixed income market losses regarding decreasing interest rates as an attempt of central banks worldwide to support their economies. The current crisis can also be considered the possibility of improving the insurance coverage related to pandemics by establishing (re)insurance schemes and pooling arrangements for other catastrophic risks and developing public-private partnerships to support the insurability of pandemic risk.
