The tools for quality management are used for quality improvement throughout the whole Europe and developed countries. Simple statistics are considered one of the most basic methods. The goal was to apply the simple statistical methods to practice and to solve problems by using them. Selected methods are used for processing the list of internal discrepancies within the organization, and for identification of the root cause of the problem and its appropriate solution. Seven basic quality tools are simple graphical tools, but very effective in solving problems related to quality. They are called essential because they are suitable for people with at least basic knowledge in statistics; therefore, they can be used to solve the vast majority of problems.

This article describes the impact of various factors on employee responsibility in the manufacturing industry, detailing the influence of technological advances, regulatory and legal compliance, diversity and inclusion, organizational structure, and economic trends toward the changing roles and skills of employees in this sector. Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and robotics are examples of how technological advancements are changing work responsibilities, resulting in the need for training and new job positions. Compliance with safety, environmental, and ethical regulations has become critical, leading to the role of the Compliance Officer. Diversity and inclusion initiatives have resulted in changes to work responsibilities, cross-cultural communication, and skills training programs. Skills training programs and increased job descriptions have resulted in changes in the organization of organizational structures. Economic trends are shaping the new roles of research and development, supply chain management, and customer engagement, creating additional positions, such as supply chain analysts and social media managers. The production environment is rapidly evolving, requiring employees to adapt. Employee adaptation results in employees taking on new responsibilities and learning and practicing many new skills to succeed in an ever-changing environment. Furthermore, organizations must have Intellectual Property (IP) custodians, market research analysts, and mediators of security engagement and behavioral compliance between the organization and its employees.

Influence of Gating System Parameters of Die-Cast Molds on Properties of Al-Si Castings

The resulting quality of castings indicates the correlation of the design of the mold inlet system and the setting of technological parameters of casting. In this study, the influence of design solutions of the inlet system in a pressure mold on the properties of Al-Si castings was analyzed by computer modelling and subsequently verified experimentally. In the process of computer simulation, the design solutions of the inlet system, the mode of filling the mold depending on the formation of the casting and the homogeneity of the casting represented by the formation of shrinkages were assessed. In the experimental part, homogeneity was monitored by X-ray analysis by evaluating the integrity of the casting and the presence of pores. Mechanical properties such as permanent deformation and surface hardness of castings were determined experimentally, depending on the height of the inlet notch. The height of the inlet notch has been shown to be a key factor, significantly influencing the properties of the die-cast parts and influencing the speed and filling mode of the mold cavity. At the same time, a significant correlation between porosity and mechanical properties of castings is demonstrated. With the increasing share of porosity, the values of permanent deformation of castings increased. It is shown that the surface hardness of castings does not depend on the integrity of the castings but on the degree of subcooling of the melt in contact with the mold and the formation of a fine-grained structure in the peripheral zones of the casting.
