Ring contractions of 5-diazouracils. I. Conversions of 5-diazouracils into 1,2,3-triazoles by hydrolysis and methanolysis

Abstract: Aus den Cyclo‐5‐diazouridin (I) erhält man bei der Hydrolyse unter Ringkontraktion das Triazol‐carbonamid (II), wobei der Reaktionsablauf aufgrund der Umsetzung mit der entsprechenden lgO‐markierten Verbindung sichergestellt werden kann.

“…Two 1,2,3-triazole derivatives ( 26 and 27 ) bearing amine-containing side chains were prepared. Thus, reaction of 35 with methyl 1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxylate (Scheme ) followed by reduction of 41 to the aldehyde 42 and reductive amination with diethylamine or N -methylpiperazine gave 26 and 27 , respectively.
