Die Diels‐Alder‐Addition von Acenaphthylen (I) an Cyclopentadien (II) unter kinetisch kontrollierten Bedingungen liefert das endo‐Addukt (III) und das exo‐Addukt (IV) im Verhältnis 3 : 1. Hydroborierung der Addukte führt zu den entsprechenden exo‐Alkoholen (Va) und (VIa), die zu den Ketonen (Vb) und (VIb) oxidiert werden können.
