Rigid Muffin‐Tin Approximation for the Electron–Phonon Matrix Element

Abstract: The electron-phonon matrix element is calculated in the rigid muffin-tin approximation for nonlocal and nonspherical potentials. It is shown that the matrix element may be expressed by the scattering properties of the muffin-tin potential.
