Rice Germ Attenuates Chronic Unpredictable Mild Stress-Induced Muscle Atrophy

Abstract: Chronic stress leads to hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis dysfunction, increasing cortisol levels. Glucocorticoids (GCs) promote muscle degradation and inhibit muscle synthesis, eventually causing muscle atrophy.
