“…5d We confirmed that the N,N-bis(diphosphino)alkylamines coordinate as chelating ligand by an X-ray diffraction structural determination on [M(S c -3)Cl 2 ] (M = Pd, Pt) complexes. 13 The diphosphinoamines and diphosphonitoamines chiral ligands have been synthesised by the reaction of the corresponding primary amine RNH 2 (R = Ph, (S c )-(ϩ)-sec-CHC 2 H 5 CH 3 ) with the diphenylchlorophosphine or (R a )-6, in the molar ratio 1 : 2, in toluene at 0 ЊC, in the presence of an excess of NEt 3 . Differently from the other P-N-P ligands here reported, (S c )-3 shows in the 31 P{ 1 H} NMR spectrum, in CDCl 3 , at 298 K, a broad signal at δ 49.6; this signal, at 220 K, raises two doublets centred at δ 52.9 and 42.9, with 2 J PP of 24.0 Hz.…”
