Carboxylic acid esters P 0360Rhodium-Catalyzed Hydroallylation of Activated Alkenes. -The reaction of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds (I) with allylic carbonates in the presence of a hydrosilane proceeds under mild conditions. The order of substrate addition is significant, as the best results are achieved by slow addition of the carbonate to a mixture of olefin with silane and catalyst. Although the allylation proceeds specifically at the α-position of (I), the regioselectivity at the allyl moiety is determined by its steric bulk. Good results are obtained with bulky silyl groups, which are easily removed under Bu4NF treatment. -(MURAOKA, T.; MATSUDA*, I.; ITOH, K.; UENO, K.; Organometallics 26 (2007) 2, 387-396; Dep. Appl.
