Flash equipped sensor devices are becoming increasingly complex and are now capable of supporting real-time multiple applications on a single sensor, rich sensing of visual and audio data, and storage of large amounts of data. With this increase in complexity, it is no longer sufficient to provide first in first out (FIFO) type capture of data into more persistent memories.
