Abstract:The application of microwave technology to identify the species and quantities of seven stored-grain insects was investigated with a new measuring method using a sensor and an electric field device in the frequency range of 0.3-1200 MHz. Three different constant voltages (0, 20, and 40 V) and three different frequencies of alternating electric fields (0.01 Hz, 0.5 MHz, and 5 MHz) were tested to address the possibility of improving the identification of insects. Two-band pairs were optimized in the frequency ra… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
