“…Although only one-aperture extraction experiments were conducted in this campaign, the plasma asymmetry in the extraction region was also investigated by two Langmuir probes placed symmetrically with a 26 cm vertical distance and both a 4.2 cm axial distance from the PG. The asymmetry is mainly caused by the ⃗ E × ⃗ B drift [32]: the potential difference is due to the difference in the electron temperatures of the plasmas in the regions in front f the PG and the region downstream of the driver and the interaction between those plasmas and the expansion chamber walls.
