“…In patients in whom the decompression was not successful in alleviating the symptoms, a systemic illness such as systemic sclerosis or rheumatoid arthritis was either present or suspected. Serra et al 18 reported six patients with RP out of 127 patients with CTS, in whom decompression resulted in complete remission of RP in all six cases.
