Revisiting the Concept of Absorptive Capacity: The Moderating Effects of Market Sensing and Responsiveness

Abstract: This study proposes new moderators acting on well-established antecedents of absorptive capacity. We treat separately the two dimensions of potential absorptive capacity and realized absorptive capacity.
