Revision of the Agathidinae (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) of Vietnam, with the description of forty-two new species and three new genera

Abstract

The species of seventeen genera of Agathidinae (Braconidae) from Vietnam are revised: Agathis Latreille, 1804, Bassus Fabricius, 1804; Biroia Szépligeti, 1900; Braunsia Kriechbaumer, 1894; Camptothlipsis Enderlein, 1920; Coccygidium de Saussure, 1892; Coronagathis gen. n. (type species: Coronagathis cornifera sp. n.); Cremnops Foerster, 1862; Disophrys Foerster, 1862; Earinus Wesmael, 1837; Euagathis Szépligeti, 1900; Gyragathis gen. n. (type species: Gyragathis quyi sp. n.), Gyrochus Enderlein, 1920; Lytopylus Foerster, 1862; Therophilus Wesmael, 1837; Troticus Brullé, 1846, and Zelodia gen. n. (type species: Zelomorpha varipes van Achterberg & Maetô, 1990). Revision of Therophilus s.s. (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Agathidinae) from Thailand

“…The Thai specimens differ from the holotype only in the color of the metapleuron which is yellow-brown in the type and melanic in all Thai specimens. This same variation is found in Vietnamese males described by van Achterberg and Long (2010).…”

Revision of Zelodia (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Agathidinae) from Thailand

Achterberg and Long (2010) revised the Vietnamese agathidine fauna, erected the genus Zelodia, described 5 new species of Zelodia and transferred 20 species to Zelodia, mostly from Coccygidium and Zelomorpha. Sharkey and Clutts (2011) revised the Thai species of Biroia, Braunsia, Camptothlipsis, Coccygidium, Cremnops, Cremnoptoides, Disophrys, Earinus, Gyrochus, Lytopylus, and Troticus, and included a key to the Agathidinae genera of the Oriental region.…”
