Abstract: RESUMENEl género Valeriana es el más diverso de la familia Valerianaceae y se encuentra ampliamente distribuido en las zonas templadas del hemisferio norte, África y Sudamérica, presentando en la región andina un importante centro de diversificación secundaria.
