According to the current concerns about social welfare and environmental protection, integrated in a model assimilated to intrabusiness relations, our research started from the analysis of the initial model SAM, which will be transformed in order to develop the SAMI model under six research objectives. The need of improving SAM matrix started to connect it directly to the regional economic systems and continued to a new approach on Input-Output Analysis. Nowadays, SAM describes the intraregional connections between regional economic actors using the role of different income categories. Moreover, SAM can quantify different regional multipliers. All deficiencies previously identified in connection to SAM model have been reviewed and resolved within the proposed SAMI model by the authors of this paper. The purpose of this research is the launch of an absolutely new mathematical model (SAMI) and its practical testing at regional level. This model is able to systematize the links between the local and regional businesses, under the matrix (SAMI) flow, for all kinds of companies and to assist the regional decision, as well. Czamanski was not able to escape from the input-output prison’s approach. This is why he continued to use the linear interdependencies between the industries, economic sectors and economic actors. The income is able only to approximate the individuals and other economic actors’ welfare. If the increase in the average and aggregate income is doubled by an unfair distribution of income in two countries which have the same average income, the effects on welfare vary a lot. A relatively similar effect comes from the government policy differences in income distribution and redistribution.

Status of the emission and transfer of pollutants in a medium-sized region

The objectives of this work are to analyze the relationships of the productive structure, private consumption and harmful emissions to living beings and the environment. To identify economic activities with the highest amount of pollutants and which social groups consume the most products associated with these emissions. To determine the polluting substances associated with these consumptions. There are no detailed studies of this nature on the chosen region. Input-output, social accounting and pollutant matrices can contribute to a better understanding of the causes for implementing public policies that mitigate these harmful emissions. Conventional methodologies are used as the method of location quotients and the Flegg approach. Some results show that the manufacture of products is based on nonmetallic minerals, textile, leather and paper industries. As well as pipeline transport is the industry that pollutes the most in the air, water and soil, respectively. The most abundant pollutants in the air are carbon dioxide and formaldehyde in water, lead and nickel and on the soil, arsenic. The last one is accompanied by cadmium and mercury in mining, vehicle assembly and pipeline wear processes. Households with higher incomes contribute to pollution through the consumption of machinery and equipment manufacturing products, petroleum and coal products, beverages and tobacco. For middle-income households, in addition to the previous ones, it impacts pipeline transportation. The last one is related to the damage in pipes by the transport of water, gas and gasoline. For the consumption of all households despite of its income, the food industry is the one that most impacts this category. This investigation is mainly based on the use of administrative records. It would be proactive to promote awareness policies for homes and businesses on the monitoring of sewer pipes and networks. The areas where these emissions were detected correspond to the most populated area in the region.

Las matrices de contabilidad social capturan la estructura económica y social de un país, permitiendo análisis tanto sectoriales como de equilibrio general. El objetivo de este artículo es describir el procedimiento seguido para la construcción de una matriz de contabilidad social con énfasis en el sector agrícola colombiano, para el año 2014, según los datos más recientes disponibles. Entre otras, las principales fuentes de información para este procedimiento son las matrices de utilización y oferta, las cuentas económicas integradas, los datos del censo nacional agropecuario y el índice de incidencia del conflicto armado. La matriz construida enfatiza en los siguientes aspectos: (i) principales cultivos agrícolas: café, arroz, plátano, maíz, papa y yuca; (ii) tamaño de las unidades de producción agrícola: grande, mediana y pequeña; (iii) conflicto armado; y (iv) ubicación de los hogares: rural y urbana. La matriz de contabilidad social que se obtuvo en este trabajo contiene información sobre la interrelación entre los diferentes agentes de la economía colombiana, resaltando la estructura del sector agrícola colombiano según los principales cultivos, el tamaño de las unidades de producción y la incidencia del conflicto armado a nivel regional. Esta matriz sirve, entre otros, como insumo para el estudio de los diferentes elementos que abarca la política agraria derivada de la Reforma Rural Integral del Acuerdo de Paz de 2016.
