Abstract:A septicemia é uma reação sistêmica frente a presença de microrganismos, ou toxinas provenientes destes, na corrente sanguínea. Os agentes comumente diagnosticados tendem a ser os mesmos presentes no ambiente em que o potro vive, sendo em sua maioria bactérias gram-negativas.
