Abstract: Introduction: Sexual acquisition has emerged as a transmission route for hepatitis C virus (HCV) of growing importance among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive populations. In Western countries, HCV epidemics have been increasingly detected among men who have sex with men (MSM).
