Review on Creep Analysis and Solved Problems

Abstract: This chapter presents a useful literature reviews and applied solved problems that focus on the creep phenomenon and behavior of it in the solids. Various insights and available studies are reviewed and investigated regarding the creep behavior analysis in three categories such as analytical, numerical and experimental methods. In addition, novel and recent findings are presented in this chapter such as predicting and obtaining the viscosity of the solids at high temperatures using steady state creep phenomeno… Show more

“…This phenomenon is time dependent as well temperature dependent. As the constant stress applied over the material over certain temperature, due to shifting of molecules in available vacancies towards the boundaries [1]. The creep is performed by applying constant load to one end of the specimen through lever system.…”

“…The creep is performed by applying constant load to one end of the specimen through lever system. The other end of the specimen is rigidly fixed in grippers in furnace in constant temperature condition [2,3]. For the experimental investigation polypropylene material is utilized due to its wide application.…”
