Abstract: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a major global cause of childhood morbidity and mortality. Palivizumab, a monoclonal antibody that provides passive immunity against RSV, is currently licensed for prophylactic use in specific "highrisk" populations, including congenital heart disease, bronchopulmonary dysplasia and prematurity.
