Review of recent experiments on the T-10 tokamak with all metal wall

Abstract: Transition to an all-metal wall was realized on T-10 by replacement of graphite limiters with tungsten ones. Light impurity levels remained high and W accumulation in the plasma core was revealed. A movable lithium (Li) limiter was added to investigate the possibility of the limitation of tungsten and light impurity levels in plasma. For the first time, tokamak results on tungsten protection with Li were obtained in OH and ECRH regimes. After lithization the tungsten density in the core dropped more than an or… Show more

“…Strong decrease of QC amplitude at HFS is surprising taking into account high level of LRC along the magnetic line. Such results may be explained by the diagnostic peculiarities due to measurements non-locality [16]. Proposed hypothesis could explain the observation of LRC correlations for the QC fluctuations at HFS only in regions with low magnetic shear.…”

“…4b). Special model was developed with perturbation transformation along the field line and 2D full wave reflection modelling [16]. It proved strong decrease of QC amplitude and correlation length at HFS due to distortion of QC oscillation in the presence of magnetic shear.…”

“…The frequency range of 40–150 kHz belongs to the quasicoherent (QC) modes in T-10, the specific type of oscillations under intensive study with various diagnostics (Vershkov et al. 2015, 2017). In figure 4, we compare line-outs of the cross-bicoherences and at , where statistically significant values are observed in (but not ).…”
