Abstract: Acute pancreatitis (AP), an inflammatory condition of the pancreas, is one of the most common ailments of the gastrointestinal system, which results in significant morbidity and mortality. The main etiological causes of AP include alcohol consumption, gallstones, hypertriglyceridemia, and biliary stones.
