Abstract: Abstract. Radio-echo sounding (RES) is a useful technique for measuring the subsurface properties of ice sheets and glaciers.  One of the most important and unique outcomes is the mapping of ice sheets' englacial layer stratigraphy, mainly consisting of isochronous reflection horizons.
