RevGadgets: an R Package for visualizing Bayesian phylogenetic analyses from RevBayes

Abstract: 1. Statistical phylogenetic methods are the foundation for a wide range of evolutionary and epidemiological studies. However, as these methods grow increasingly complex, users often encounter significant challenges with summarizing, visualizing, and communicating their key results. 2. We present RevGadgets, an R package for creating publication-quality figures from the results of a large variety of phylogenetic analyses performed in RevBayes (and other phylogenetic software packages). 3. We demonstrate how t… Show more

“…Estimated time-calibrated Lampyridae phylogeny under the fossilized birth-death-range process using the high posterior probability of Photinus being monophyletic data subset. The plot was generated using the R package (Tribble et al 2022). The bars around the node show the 95% credible interval of the node ages.…”

“…We followed the tutorial (https://revba yes.github.io/tutor ials/divra te/ebd.html#Hoehn a2015a) with ρ = 1 and a chain length of 10 × 10 6 generations. We used the R package revgadgets version 1.0 (Tribble et al, 2021) to visualize the rates. For both comet and revbayes, we performed two additional analyses changing the global sampling fraction to ρ = .5 and ρ = .25, considering that we only sampled the 50% and 25% of the total diversity of Cyphoderiidae, respectively.…”
