Abstract: Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) leads to an acute decrease of right ventricular (RV) afterload in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. We investigated the changes in right and left ventricular (LV) geometry and hemodynamics by means of transthoracic echocardiography.
