“…Such an electron-transfer process may be influenced by the superexchange and DM interactions through the slight change of the angle between Fe 2+ /Cr 2+ and Fe 3+ /Cr 3+ at the onset of magnetic ordering. In fact, studies for YFe 1−x Cr x O 3 by x-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy measurements indicate the mixed-valence states of Cr and Fe ions in the lattice [32]. X-ray photoelectron spectrometry and Mössbauer spectral studies on YFeO 3 single crystal also support such a scenario [14].…”
