Revascularização do miocárdio sem circulação extracorpórea com uso de shunt intracardíaco: 12 anos de experiência

Abstract: Os autores apresentam a experiência com a técnica desenvolvida em 1983, na Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Santa Casa de São Paulo, que consiste em substituir a circulação extracorpórea nas operações de revascularização do miocárdio, por uma derivação (shunt), introduzida na luz da coronária. “…In the mid 1990s, boosted by the advantages of minimally invasive surgery 18 , with more rapid recovery and esthetic superiority, the applicability of myocardial revascularization surgery without extracorporeal circulation was restricted to the treatment of single-vessel lesions limited to the anterior interventricular branch of the left coronary artery. Technological development, especially the use of stabilizers 19 , in addition to surgical experience 20 , allowed the safe treatment of the posterior arteries of the heart 21 , spreading the acceptance of the technique among surgeons and cardiologists.
