Reuse of multimedia components in the development of distance learning applications

Abstract

This paper discusses the approach used in the development of software components that store, retrieve and create multimedia objects. These components provide a simple way of building multimedia instructional material, enabling their developers to rapidly and easily create applications in the domain of Distance Learning with multimedia content, reusing previously developed components.
