“…Till now, many efforts have been devoted to produce the PSi/PA composite latexes from either physical blending or chemical bonding, and three basic strategies have been used to realize the chemical bonds between them. The interpenetrating networks of PSi and PA could be obtained through simultaneously free radical and ionic ring‐opening polymerization mechanisms; the PSi/PA core/shell latexes were fabricated via seeded emulsion polymerization of acrylate monomers in the presence of PSi seeds; and the PA/PSi core/shell latexes were synthesized by grafting silicone monomers onto the surfaces of PA seeds . As the great difference in solubility parameter between the two polymers, the functional monomers or silane coupling agents were always utilized to improve their compatibility.…”
