To improve the reliability and accuracy of quality of English instruction in the classroom monitoring and assessment, as well as to reduce the time spent monitoring and evaluating the quality of English instruction in the classroom, a big data-based approach to monitor and evaluate the quality of English instruction in the classroom is proposed. A frequent itemset mining technique for quality of English instruction in the classroom monitoring data is built based on a study of the theoretical basis of big data and the features of quality of English instruction in the classroom monitoring data. To complete the data transformation of quality of English instruction in the classroom monitoring, the multivalued continuous attribute is quantified and turned into a two-dimensional Boolean data matrix. To mine the frequent itemsets of quality of English instruction in the classroom monitoring data, a frequent itemset mining algorithm based on the compressed matrix is applied. This work creates a quality of English instruction in the classroom evaluation model using the gray correlation method of multiobjective decision-making and weighted gray correlation analysis to realize the monitoring and evaluation of quality of English instruction in the classroom. The experimental results suggest that the proposed method is highly reliable and accurate and that it can significantly reduce the time spent monitoring and evaluating the quality of English classroom instruction.

The prosperity of education contributes to national prosperity and socioeconomic development. The expanding student population in compulsory education makes it technically difficult for teachers to assess students' behavior and learning attitudes. In order to regulate classroom teaching and prevent students from leaving early, missing classes, or cheating on exams, schools have purchased video surveillance equipment and thus made such products enter the education market. However, the current combination of cameras and video recorders has a limited effect due to the lack of intelligent factors. To address this problem, this study is dedicated to introducing an artificial intelligence solution in the education field to deepen education informatization, i.e., using a pose detection algorithm to achieve intelligent monitoring of students' poses in a classroom background through the subscribe and publish mechanism in the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. The system is able to reflect the students' classroom performance to the teacher, which plays an essential role in promoting the development of teaching programs and improving teaching quality.

English teaching in general higher education is faced with great challenges. English teachers have to face a group of students from different regions, who have received different English teaching methods during middle school, and their English proficiency is uneven. At present, the teaching methods of most colleges and universities are backward, unable to make full use of modern information technology, and students have low interest in learning, poor independent learning ability, and low learning effect, especially in English. In order to comprehensively improve students’ English level, English teaching methods in colleges and universities should be completely different from the traditional teaching methods in middle schools. This paper sorts out trial research, questionnaire survey, and data analysis method and combines some problems existing in college English teaching and the characteristics of microvideo, such as short, concise, sound, and text, to apply microvideo as a teaching resource in college English grammar teaching. A trial group was set up to study the effectiveness of microvideo teaching. No students in the trial group disliked the microvideo teaching and the average score of students in the trial group was 8.992 points higher than the average score of students in the traditional group. The results show that microvideo teaching can not only increase students’ interest in learning English but also improve their English language skills.
