Rethinking System Boundaries for Better Utilisation of Additive Manufacturing Potentials – A Case Study

Abstract: The potentials of additive manufacturing for objectives such as lightweight construction are not yet fully exploited. In this paper, the possibilities of integrative function and system modelling for this challenge will be discussed.
