“…In addition, resveratrol has also been shown to reverse established pulmonary hypertension when it was administered 28 days after the monocrotaline injection [71,72]. In a model of pulmonary thromboembolisminduced pulmonary hypertension, two doses of resveratrol (10 mg/kg; IP) significantly reduced mean pulmonary artery pressure through down-regulation of monocyte chemo-attractant protein-1 (MCP-1), and P-p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) [73]. Together, these studies show that resveratrol has multiple beneficial effects on the vasculature and may hold promise for the treatment and/or prevention of systemic hypertension as well as pulmonary hypertension.…”

“…In line with this, the present study found that resveratrol treatment significantly suppressed the isoflurane-induced increase in the p-p38/p38 MAPK ratio in PC12 cells. Chun et al (29) suggested that resveratrol downregulates acute thromboembolism-induced pulmonary artery hypertension through p38 MAPK in rats.…”

“…The present study illustrated that resveratrol administration is able to significantly suppress the expression of p-p38 in rats with STZ-DRMI. Chun et al (17) suggested that resveratrol was able to suppress acute pulmonary thromboembolism-induced pulmonary artery hypertension via p38 MAPK signaling in rats.…”

“…Traditionally, Chinese medicines such as Polygonum cuspidatum and fleece-flower roots, which are rich in resveratrol, have been used to treat and prevent hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis (16). A recent study demonstrated that resveratrol is an effective molecule which may be able to prevent cardiac dysfunction (17). The present study aimed to investigate whether the protective effect of resveratrol was able to improve cardiovascular functions in rats with diabetes.…”
