Results of the Nutritional Preservation Research of the Alfalfa Laying on Storage With Two-Phase Compaction

Abstract: In modern manufacturing of livestock production, the outstanding value is allocated for a food supply. The main criterion for evaluating the quality of feed components is the nutrient content of the feed ration. However, in the process of the storage, the maintenance of the nutritious substances decreases for various reasons that are leading to decreasing livestock efficiency and increasing the cost. The results of the use of a two-phase compaction of the forage vegetable components on the example of the alfal… Show more

“…The phases of the technology of drying fodder by air ventilation are: 1. harvesting the furrows of the plants, at a humidity of 80… 85%; 2. drying in furrows until it reaches a humidity of 35… 40%; 3. assembly and immediate transport of feed for storage on the drying platform; 4. finalizing the drying by ventilation with cold air or hot air, until a humidity of about 17% is reached [6].…”

“…Analysis of modern technological equipment for spreading straw bedding (mainly fan type blowers) [4] allows us to draw conclusions that the disadvantages of the existing equipment for the making and forming of straw bedding for box-type housing livestock are high energy consumption of vane technical means and dustiness of the premise [8][9][10]. One of the ways to solve these problems is the usage of a working body for spreading straw bedding material in the form of a rotor with fingers [11][12][13][14][15][16][17]. This issue was studied by such native and foreign scientists: V.D.…”
