Restoring of moldboards by abrasion-resistant dispersion-strengthened composite based on epoxy resin

Abstract: A method of plough bodies’ moldboards restoring is proposed. With the view of implementation of the method a composite adhesive polymer dispersion-strengthened material based on epoxy resin is developed.

“…Over a long period of time, surface hardening in order to increase wear resistance used a variety of techniques, which boiled down to the use of chemical-thermal treatment in an oxygen-rich environment. Among them are pulsed contact heating [4][5], technologies that combine the use of surfacing of abrasive-resistant coatings using adhesive-polymer abrasion-resistant dispersed composites [6][7], strengthening by electric contact welding [8] and a host of others. This leads to the enrichment of the final product with oxygen, hydrogen and other gases, both in quantity and in the form of chemical compounds that have a negative impact on the strength characteristics.…”
