“…The saline alkali area of China is 9.9 × 10 5 km 2 (according to UNESCO and FAO), mainly located in the northern region and coastal plain areas (Sun et al, 2020). Different measures have been developed to improve and utilise saline‐alkali land with interesting progress in physical, biological and chemical measures (Shu et al, 2023).
