Abstract

Interactive comment on "Stable carbon isotopes of dissolved inorganic carbon for a zonal transect across the subpolar North Atlantic Ocean in summer 2014" by Matthew P. Humphreys et al. We thank the reviewer for reading our manuscript and providing their useful thoughts and feedback. We hope that we have addressed the points raised as follows.We were not able to find examples of other studies using seawater reference material (RM) obtained from Andrew G. Dickson (Scripps Institution of Oceanography, USA) for δ13CDIC measurements, as we have. These RM are indeed sterilised, as we have noted in section 5.3.3.We have provided a high-resolution image for Fig. 2 so this figure should be at a visible size in the final manuscript. C1
