Response surface modeling and optimization of LM25 alloy-based hybrid composites reinforced with red mud and sillimanite particles

Abstract: The present study investigates the tribological behavior of aluminum and silicon (Si) alloy (LM25) based hybrid metal matrix composite (MMC). LM25 alloy is reinforced with three different percentages (5, 10, and 15 wt. %) in a 1:1 ratio of sillimanite and red mud particles utilizing the stir casting method.
