Response Surface Methodology and its application in evaluating scientific activity

Abstract: The possibilities of the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) has been explored within the ambit of Scientific Activity Analysis. The case of the system "Departments of the Area of Health Sciences of the University of Navarre (Spain)" has been studied in relation to the system "Scientific Community in the Health Sciences", from the perspective of input/output models (factors/response). It is concluded that the RSM reveals the causal relationships between factors and responses through the construction of polynomi… Show more

“…The key to RSM are created utilizing straight polynomial models, for the most part first-degree and second degree models, with consistent reaction factors accepted, to be independent and normally distributed with consistent error variances [13][14]. Jiménez-Contreras et al summarized that, the RSM is an accumulation of scientific and mathematical methods that displaying and investigation of issues in which a reaction of intrigue is affected by a few factors and the target is to optimize the reaction [15].…”

“…In recent years, response surface methodology (RSM) is being applied successfully in many scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, medicine, and economy [20]. The RSM is based on an experimental design with the final goal of evaluating optimal functioning of industrial facilities, using minimum experimental effort [20].…”

“…In recent years, response surface methodology (RSM) is being applied successfully in many scientific fields such as biology, chemistry, medicine, and economy [20]. The RSM is based on an experimental design with the final goal of evaluating optimal functioning of industrial facilities, using minimum experimental effort [20]. In this study, determination of effective parameters and region of them including initial RBB concentration, initial pH, and amount of MWCNTs were determined using the RSM that has not been reported by any researcher.…”
