Response of Yield Components of Some Black Rice Cultivars to Spraying With The Amino Acid Phenylalanin

Abstract: Three rice varieties (Goura, Chakhao and Local) were grown during two seasons 2019-2020, aimed to assessment of different levels of spraying of phenylalanine on performance of the grain yield components in different rice varieties. The selected three varieties (sub plots) were grown under the influence of four levels of phenylalanine spraying (main plots), included amino acid treatments occupied the main plates 50, 100 and 150 mg.L-1 as well as the control treatment (spraying distilled water only), the experim… Show more

“…Genetic, environmental and phenotypic variances for the traits under study. The results shown in Table (7) indicated the values of genetic, environmental and phenotypic variances, the coefficient of phenotypic and genetic variation, the percentage of heritability in the broad sense, and the expected genetic improvement. The genetic, environmental and phenotypic variances were significant for all traits, and the phenotypic variances were higher than the genetic variances.…”

“…The results in Table (5) showed the values of selection Indexes for the genotypes and for seven traits which were the grain yield, the number of branches in panicle and the panicle length , the number of grains in panicle, biological yield, harvest index, and weight of a thousand grains. However, the highest value of the indicator as an selection Indexes was (869.476) for the genotype under order 14, followed by the genotypes in order (17,15,3,19,20,7) with values (721.522) and (647.979), (609.560), (599.907), (549.821) and (542.507) respectively. It was suggested from the above that the best genotypes are (IPA1, Dajla, Mishkhab1, Anber33, Ghadir, Yasmin, KHA4).…”
