Response of Gazania Plants (Gazania Splendens L.) to Seaweed Extract (Tecamin Algae) and Nano Stimulator (Proteck CalBor)

Abstract: The study was conducted in the lath house of the Department of the Horticulture and Landscape - College of Agriculture during the growing season of 2020-2021 inGazania plants, in order to study the effect of ground addition of marine algae extract (Tecamin Algae) at concentrations (0, 2 and 4 ml L-1), symbolized by (A0, A1 and A2) respectively, and spraying with the nanostimulator (Proteck CalBor) manufactured according to nanotechnology in concentrations (0, 0.5 and 1 ml L-1) and it has a symbol (B0, B1 and B… Show more

“…It is worth noting that phenotypic and genetic variants were larger for the majority of the variables evaluated when compared to environmental variances. This finding is consistent with [14][15][16][17][18]. The heritability ratio represents the degree to which a quantitative trait is inherited from the chosen parents to the offspring, or the amount of the quantitative trait passed down from generation to generation.…”

“…Most traits had high heritability ratios due to large genetic variance and low environmental variance. The heritability ratio in the trait "number of nodes before the first fruit" dropped, owing to a decrease in genetic variance and an increase in environmental variance (Table 1 [26], qualities with moderate to high narrow sense heritability (h 2 n.s ), estimates and low genetic progress can be improved through recurrent selection over numerous generations [27][28][29].…”

“…Cracking in citrus fruits includes flavedo-splitting, albedo-splitting, and inner splitting. These occur during the cell elongation stage or the completion of fruit growth [23,24].…”

“…The three-way interaction showed a significant effect, with treatments (A2B2C0) at site 1 and (A2B2C2) at site 2 with the highest yield per plant of 537.03 and 530.58 g plant -1 , respectively, while treatment (A0B0C0) at both sites 1 and 2 gave the lowest yield of 236.89 and 245.20 g plant -1 , respectively. The seaweed extract's high concentration of macro-and micronutrients (N, Ca, Mg, B, Cu, Fe, and Zn) can be credited with the rise in yield and its constituent parts that resulted from spraying [28].…”
