Response of Different Levels of Nitrogen and Sulphur on Production and Economics of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

Abstract: A Field Research done at Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh in Kharif to study the interactive effect of different levels of Nitrogen and Sulphur on yield and economics of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) var. DRSH -1. Experiment was undertaken on an agricultural research farm in 2021. Nitrogen is a primary nutrient element which plays a major role in growth and development of plant and As Sunflower is an oilseed crop, requires optimum level of Sulp… Show more

“…The results of Table ) 1( show that there is a significant effect of sulfur levels in the trait The total seed yield was given the level of 2400 kg S.h -1 the highest rate of the adjective was 6.98 tons.e -1 , Compared to the comparative transaction that recorded the lowest trait rate of 5.57 tonnes.e-1 The reason for the increase in the total quotient may be attributed That this treatment surpassed the yield of a single plant And the positive moral correlation of this attribute with the paper space . Recipe, disc diameter and weight of 500 seeds and therefore Increase the final seed yield and these results are consistent with [7]. The results of Table (1) indicate a significant effect of boron concentrations On this trait, the concentration exceeds 50 mg.L -1 .…”

“…Compared to the lowest oil content of 38.19% at the level of 0 kg.h -1 . [7] also deduced from the results of their experiment obtained through the use of Four levels of sulfur are (0, 15, 30, 45)kg S.h -1 . The fourth sulfur level has a significant impact on the overall seed yield trait.…”

“…It makes some contributions to protein synthesis by orchestrating the folding and structural stability of a protein [6]. Some research showed the positive effect of sulfur on the yield of oil seed crops, such as groundnut [7], rapeseed [8], mustard [9], sesame [10], sunflower [11], and soybean [12,13]. Several field studies have demonstrated that the application of sulfur in conjunction with nitrogen in soybean fields has resulted in a significant increase in seed yield.…”

“…In India it has gained popularity due to the national priority of vegetable oil production. Sunflower oil content varies from 48-53% and it is premium oil with pale yellow in colour used for cooking and margarine" [1]. The oil of sunflower has a model combination of saturated and poly-unsaturated fatty acids, due to which it is considered very important in reducing of high serum cholesterol levels.…”
