“…The yields that were obtained, especially those in the KL and KH treatments, are higher than those reported by Shinde et al (2018) and Man et al (2017) and are even comparable with those obtained by the fourteen genotypes studied by Shah et al (2017). These yield results are believed to be partly due to the adequate development of the castor plant photosynthetic apparatus (90-133 DAS) and partly due to the formation of photosynthates and their translocation towards flowering and the formation and filling of fruit, rather than towards the formation of other plant parts, such as more vegetative area, as in the case of the Rincon variety.…”
