Respirometry: a key component in the development of an integrated system for wastewater treatment plant control

Abstract

Respirometry is a key element in the development of effective real-time control strategies for wastewater treatment plant operation. The information that can be derived from respirograms is discussed. The basic elements of the integrated computer control system are presented. Features of the multivariate model-based control system are described briefly.
